The September 2025 EFO Flying Meeting Because of weather, the September 2025 EFO flying meeting was postponed until Saturday, September 13, 2025. The day started out with threatening skies, but there was almost no wind. There was only a short sprinkle, for about 15 minutes, about 10:30, but then no more rain. ![]() When Ken MyerDenny Sumner and Ted Flack were already there and flying. They continued to fly until the sprinkles got "serious", and then all three folks sat out the brief shower. ![]() With no wind, it was a prefect day for flying "the little one", as shown by Ted Flack returning from the flying field. ![]() Denny Sumner takes his "racing cub" up for a flight. We call it the "racing cub", because it is so over-powered that it looks like a racer in the air when he opens up the throttle, but what else would you expect from a former pylon racer! ;-) The sprinkles let up just as Keith Shaw arrived at the field. He brought his Dreamer sport biplane, Darmstadt D22, and Klemm L20. ![]() The Dreamer and the Darmstadt are shown in the photo by his car. ![]() He prepared the Klemm L20 for a great flight. ![]() Andy Kunz, far left, watched as Keith came back from a great flight. Keith then shared the history of that plane with Andy. The gray skies continued throughout the day. ![]() Roger Wilfong made a brief stop at Pete WatersÕ house as Pete was holding an electric plane sale on Saturday and Sunday. ![]() He brought several planes to fly, but the Pou du Ciel, flying flea, is always interesting. ![]() As usual for this plane, there were a couple of "interesting" moments during the flight. Nice flying Roger! ![]() The flea is shown flying. Another of his notable planes, that he flew, was a SR Batteries Cutie with a geared brush motor. Love the sound of the old geared motor. Andy Kunz flew his indoor Vapor for many flights. That indicated how low the winds remained through the day. Ken Myers did not fly, but learned a lesson. He only brought his foam FMS trainer and one old 4S "A123" battery pack that he always flies it with. Unfortunately, the positive lead had broken off the balance lead and the battery could not be charged. Rats! All things considered, it was again a wonderful day at the flying field. See you in October! Indoor Flying at the Legacy Center in Brighton, MI for 2025/2026
